She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Kathleen Crocker Woodard and Joseph Patrick Woodard; her husband Jack Thomas Townsend, Jr.; her siblings, Glenda Murphy, Billy Woodard, Rudolph Woodard, William Carroll Woodard and JP Woodard; and her close friend Robert Jackson.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Townsend (Robin) and Greg Townsend; her grandchildren, Megan Townsend Clifton (Anthony), Morgan Townsend Taylor (Holden) and Blake Townsend Blackmon (Cody); her great grandchildren, Karsyn Clifton, Kamryn Clifton, Paisley Taylor and Presley Taylor; her granddaughter Betty Stanley; and her friend Mattie Henderson.
