He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Parrish Evans (Lib); his children, Deborah W. Byrd (Bobby) of Fremont, NC, Cindy E. Francis (Mark) of Clayton, NC, Pam E. Harrelson (Larry) of Lake Lure, NC, Patty E. Cobb (Steve) of Lansing, Timothy Watson (Christine) of Clarksville, VA, Larry Watson (Lisa) of Goldsboro, NC, Donald Watson of Goldsboro, NC and Wiley C. Evans, III (Sophy) of Goldsboro, NC; his brother Jimmie C. Watson (Pat) of Fairfield, OH; his siblings-in-law, Billy Parrish, Rachel Capps and Barbara Hill (Jim); and his niece Brenda Dick of Loveland, OH.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
