He was predeceased by: his parents, Newsome Ray Nichols and Emma Hollomon Nichols; and his siblings, Rudy Nichols, Earl Nichols, Becky Nichols Price and Emma Jean Nichols.
He is survived by: his son Rodney Nichols of Kenly; his siblings, Clay Nichols of Roseboro, Ray Nichols (Ruth) of Raleigh, J. P. Nichols (Betty) of Smithfield, Patsy Boyce (Bobby) of Goldsboro and Carolyn Lusk (Tony) of Henderson; his sister-in-law Renee Nichols; his granddaughter Tesla Lynn Nichols; and his great grandchild Carsyn Lee Henning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Casey Funeral Home and Cremations (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
