He is survived by: his children, Leann Hines Casey of Lucama, Steve Cogdell (Deidra) of Goldsboro and Mike Cogdell (Sharon) of Glen Allen, VA.; his grandchildren, Scottie Casey, James Casey and Stephanie C. Johnson (Scott); his great grandchildren, Landon McCullen, Maddox K. Johnson, Saylor J. Vieira (Nate), London C. Johnson and Urban R. Johnson; his sister Jewel Hines Taylor; his nieces, Janet Kearns and Debbie Burrell; and his close friend Donna S. Worley.
