It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Douglas Edwards of Princeton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Rains Edwards; his brother Phil Edwards; and his pets, Prissy and Annie (Melvin Edwards). He is survived by: his father Melvin Edwards; his wife LuNelle Woodard Edwards; his children, Adrian Tyndall (Ava) of Pikeville and Taylor Rae Overfield (Noble Overfield III) of Princeton; his siblings, Bruce Edwards (Rene) of Stella, Rosemary Gatewood (Doug) of Four Oaks, Phyllis Edwards of Princeton and Sara Moore (Steve) of Goldsboro; his brother-in-law Donald Woodard (Ada Jean) of Eureka; his grandchildren, Ajay Felts, Hunter Tyndall (Morgan), Wesley Tyndall, Wyatt Overfield, Memphis Overfield, Raelyn Overfield and River Overfield; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Tyndall, Matthew Tyndall, Emily Tyndall, Adalyn Tyndall and Hailey Tyndall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.
