He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Edgar Carroll and Annie Lee Wood Carroll; his brother Eugene Edgar Carroll Jr.; and his son-in-law Tom Stanfield. He is survived by: his wife Annie Laurie Gunn; and his children, Carlton Carroll (Nan), Gary Carroll and Cindy Stanfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church (1705 Shady Grove Rd, Providence, NC 27315). A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM.
