He was predeceased by: his parents, James Algie Buckner Sr. and Merle Ann Buckner; his wife Marilyn Carroll Buckner; and his sister Betty Williamson. He is survived by: his children, James A. Buckner, III (Marlinda) and Michelle B. Underwood (Patrick); his grandchildren, Raymond Buckner (Lauren), Anthony Buckner (Amber), Allison Sparks, Donald Knaak and Christina Busick (Dean); and his sister Barbara Watkins. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
