He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Shirley A. Hamrin and Hazel Sundell Hamrin; and his siblings, Phyllis and Donald. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his sons, James (Cheri) of Austin and Walter (Pam) of Alexandria, Virginia.; and his stepchildren, Hal, Jill Sanford of Santa Rosa, California, Carol, Ian Swirsky of Saranac Lake and Laura Eaker of Annapolis, Maryland..
