The memory of Sidney Irvin Carroll of Providence, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Sidney is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sidney's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Edgar Carroll and Annie Lee Wood Carroll; his brother Eugene Edgar Carroll Jr.; and his son-in-law Tom Stanfield. He is survived by: his wife Annie Laurie Gunn; and his children, Carlton Carroll (Nan), Gary Carroll and Cindy Stanfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
