We are sad to announce that on April 1, 2023, at the age of 76, Madge Phillips McNiel of Purlear, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Heggie Hamilton and Iris Ima Welch Phillips; her son David Levi McNiel; and her siblings, Nell Cox (Jim), Jewel Eller (Richard), Norma Eller (Jack), James "Jim" Phillips, Wayne Phillips (Linda), Wade Phillips (Linda) and Joseph Phillips.

She is survived by : her husband Russell "Bert" McNiel; her children, Ida Elizabeth McNiel-Isaacs (J. B. Isaacs) of Boone and Jesse Morgan McNiel (Wendy) of Boone; her grandchildren, Levi Chase McNiel Isaacs, Alexandra Victoria McNiel and Thomas Gryphon McNiel; her daughter-in-law Remondia Bumgarner of North Wilkesboro; and her nephew Michael Phillips (Donna) of Wilkesboro.
