He is survived by: his wife Delilah Dean Laws Wiles; his daughter Heather Wiles Melton (Brandon) of Purlear; his grandchildren, Avery Jones Melton and Rylan Cooper Melton; and his siblings, Mildred Wiles of Purlear, Betty Crane (Dean) of Purlear and David Wiles of Purlear.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pilgrim Baptist Church (493 Pilgrim Baptist Church Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery (1286 New Hope Rd, Purlear, NC 28665).
