Wayne Shoemaker Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2024, at the age of 66, Wayne Shoemaker of Purlear, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Kyle E. Shoemaker; and his sister Rhonda Shoemaker Sands. He is survived by : his wife Theresa Davis Shoemaker; his sons, Travis Shoemaker (Katie) of Cross Plains, TN and Cody Shoemaker of Kingsport, TN; his grandchildren, Davis, Emery and Hallee Shoemaker; his mother Bertie Martin Shoemaker of Mount Carmel, TN; his brother Shane Shoemaker (Karen) of Springfield, TN; and his in-laws, George, Cleo Davis, Larry and Kay Davis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“Wayne was always a joy to work with at Samaritan's Purse. He had a great ministry as he worked with the volunteers and home owners with damaged houses. We made great memories at the different seminars and deployments that we served together. You have gone ahead of the rest of us as Jesus had prepared your home.
