She was predeceased by : her mother Catherine Fisher-Fonville; and her sister Linda Fisher-Fonville. She is survived by : her husband Curtis Tyler; her children, Kanitra Tyler and Willie "DJ" Battle; her daughter-in-law Shannon Battle; her grandchildren, Troy Battle, Justin Johnson-Bradshaw, Brianna Battle, Curtis Loving Jr., Brandon Loving, Alexis Loving and Noah Proctor; her great grandchildren, Lil Troy and Issac; and her brother Tommy Fonville (Evelyn).

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research in memory of Ganell.
