He is survived by: his mother Teresita Melgar; the mother of his children Jeanette Melgar; his daughters, Rosella Zapata (Jeff), Rosanna Sazon (Ted), Samantha Nix (Dillon) and Karina Melgar; his grandchildren, Jackson Sazon, Cecelia Sazon and Wesley Zapata; his close friend Harlene Komaiko; and his siblings, Cristina Abellanosa (Alan), Alfredo Melgar (Junice), Gerardo Melgar and Teresa Melgar.
