He was predeceased by: his grandparents, L. A. "Pete", Eleanor Hooks, Wilton "Bud" and Carrie Joyner; and his uncle Matthew Joyner.
He is survived by: his parents, Glenn Joyner and Rhonda Joyner of Emerald Isle; his siblings, James Mitchell Joyner and Dr. Leah Elizabeth Joyner; his uncles, Mike Hooks (Ernie) and Jeff Joyner (Denise); his aunt Anne Joyner; and his cousins, Spencer, Kendall and Cameron Joyner.
