She was predeceased by: her parents, Braxton Douglas and Lucille Douglas; her husband Bobby Powell; her daughter Linda Sue Powell; and her siblings, J. C., Eunice, Ed, Jerry and Richard.
She is survived by: her daughter Janet Powell Storms (Gerald); her son-in-law Dwight Driver; her grandchildren, Donald Grady, Brian Grady (Pam), Erin Beck (David) and Emily Coe (Doug); her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Spencer, Brandon, Aidan, Charleigh, Ruthie, Grayson, Makayla, Haley, Brooklyn and Anthony; her son Richard (Ashton); her grandchildren, Benton and Jordan (Tyler); and her great grandchildren, Bodhi and Carsyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice in Clayton, North Carolina, whose compassionate care and support meant so much to Granny and her family.
