She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Jackson Garner and Juanita Fay Garner; and her sister Susan Carlton. She is survived by: her brother Andrew Garner, Jr.; her children, Toni Sossomon (Robert) and Donald Garner; and her grandchildren, Netty Gentry, Andrew, Liam, Jackson and Hunter Sossomon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
