She was predeceased by : her parents, Elder W. T., Sr. and Mae Creech Barham; her husband Levi D. Steed; and her siblings, W. Thomas Barham, Jr., Eleanor Higgins and Helen Vinson.

She is survived by : her daughter Dana S. Mann of Raleigh; her grandsons, Austin, Paxton and Cameron Mann; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Barham of Lillington, NC, Polly Wise of Fuquay-Varina and Sam Steed of Fuquay-Varina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 26th 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Carolina Pines Baptist Church (2655 S Saunders St, Raleigh, NC 27603). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 26th 2023 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Carolina Pines Baptist Church, 2655 South Saunders Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
