It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Lee Gray of Raleigh, North Carolina, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Uriah Humphreys and Marion Elizabeth Wrenn Humphreys; and her husband Louis Holt Gray. She is survived by: her children, Lynne Gray Munns (Phil) of Emerald Isle, Louis Holt Gray, Jr. (Harriett Coley) of Raleigh, John Humphreys Gray (Martha) of Raleigh and Scott Thomas Gray (Susan) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Jorie Munns Dickerson (Billy), Jennifer Munns Jackson (Donnie), Mary Brinn Gray, Emily Shore Gray, John Holt Gray, Samuel Wrenn Gray and Elijah Scott Gray; her great grandchildren, Avery Leigh Dickerson, Luke Edward Jackson, Wrenn Margaret Jackson and Reese Olivia Dickerson; and her cousins, Sandra Bey Jaconetta and Harriett Bey Mesic.
