With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Taylor Murphy (Raleigh, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Talmadge Dewitt Taylor and Helen Cora Smith Taylor; her husband Carl Murphy; her sister Dorothy Taylor Carver; and her nephew Michael "Butch" Walowich (Ann).
She is survived by: her children, Kim M. Hill (Joe) and David C. Murphy, Sr. (Sylvia); her grandchildren, David C. Murphy, Jr. (Sara), Ashton H. Stevenson (Kyle) and Daniel Martin (Erika); her great grandchildren, Emma Martin, Avery, Jameson, Kendall Murphy, Parker and Bennett Stevenson; and her nieces and nephews, Michele Rolow (David), Steven Walowich, Lauren Bauer (Andrew) and Jeremy Rolow.
