She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Phillips and Inola Creech Phillips; her former husbands, James Monroe Cooke and Worth Tew Sr.; her siblings, Gloria Dale Phillips and Edward Henry Phillips; and her stepchildren, Peggy Tew and Worth Tew, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband David Thames; her son Tracy Cooke of Zebulon; her brother Douglas Phillips (Ann) of Selma, NC; her sister-in-law Peggy Caterelli of Florida; her stepchildren, Richard Thames (Mary Cross) of Raleigh, NC, Anthony Thames of Pensacola, Kay Tew Dixon (Robert) of Selma and Joy Cox (Rick) of Angier, NC; her stepgrandchildren, Victoria Cross, Taylor Cross and Cara Arias (Anthony); and her stepgreat-granddaughters, Adeline Cross and Caroline Arias. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
