Though Charles Dewey may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Douglass Barham Hughes and Charles Dewey Barham. He is survived by: his wife Peggy (Peggy); his daughter Margaret Douglass Barham; his grandson David Carlos Barham of Raleigh; his son Charles Dewey Barham III (Ann Hiott Barham) of Winston-Salem; and his sister Harriette Ann Barham Best of Wilmington. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (99 N Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
