He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Vance; his children, Melissa Smith, Gene Vance, Jr. and Curtis Vance; and his brother Johnny Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Alanda "Landie" Adcock Vance; his daughter Ashley Vance Fowler (Scotty); his stepchildren, Chrystal Noelle Young and Carlton Robin Young (Ashley); his siblings, Dorothy Vance and Dennis Vance; his half-brother Oran Sullins; and his pets, Kayleigh and Heidi. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
