He was predeceased by: his parents, Jones Macon Cannady, Sr. and Tempie Mitchiner Cannady; and his siblings, Jones Macon Cannady, Jr., Nathaniel Cannady, Reuben Cannady and Bettie Cannady Wheless.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Matthews Cannady; his daughters, Renee Cannady Winstead (Sam) and Cathy Cannady; his grandsons, Eric Cannady Winstead (Meriam) and Jeremy Wagner; and his siblings, John Festus Cannady and Ann Cannady Ijames (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
