He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Berdis Russell and Letha Mae Stone; his wife Carolyn Stephenson Stone; his children, Christopher Channing Stone (Michele) of Raleigh and Cynthia Stone Huffman (Danny) of Wake Forest; and his siblings, Foy C. Stone of Orlando, Florida. and Sharon Stone McNeill. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, a great granddaughter and several nieces, a nephew and many great and great-great nephews and nieces.
