He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Coffey and Lula Coffey. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sister Alice Smith of Lenoir, NC; his daughter Karen Key (Kevin); and his granddaughters, Sarah Chomette (Julien) of Raleigh and Sydney Clark of Raleigh.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to First Baptist Church, Kure Beach or Gideon's International.
