He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward G. Ervin and Ethel M. Ervin; and his siblings, Eugene Love, Anna Marie Bone and Donald T. Ervin.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Williams; his children, Courteney Daniél Ervin of Brooklyn, NY and David Wesley Ervin II of Philadelphia, PA; and his siblings, Beverly J. Fuller and Robert Allen Love. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
