David leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew David will carry forward his memory in their hearts.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Snipes and Ernestine Page Snipes. He is survived by: his brother Claude Snipes (Bonika); his nephew Rodney Cotten (Malika) of Sanford, NC; his niece Alexia Cotten (Pittsboro); his close friend Tasha Brayboy of Raleigh, NC; and his cousins, Christopher Monroe and Willie Monroe (Pittsboro). He is also survived by three great-nephews and two great-nieces.

Viewing was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Knotts Funeral Home (50 N Masonic St, Pittsboro, NC 27312). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthews AME Zion Church (4015 NC-902, Pittsboro, NC 27312).
