He was predeceased by: his mother Iva Ikerd McRee; and his siblings, Harry Franklin McRee, Leonard Clarence McRee and Sue McRee Watson. He is survived by: his father Clyde Franklin McRee; his wife Priscilla Inscoe McRee; his children, Donald Ikerd "Ike" McRee, Jr. (Sharon) of Raleigh, NC, William Andrew "Andy" McRee (Amy) of Cary, NC and Susan McRee Dubach (Dave) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Ally Woodside (Tyler), Sam McRee, Ryan Emerson (Jenn), Mitchell McRee, Matthew Dubach and Anna Wesley Dubach; his great grandchildren, Wright Woodside, Penny Emerson and Collins Emerson; his brother Sam McRee of Newton, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Inscoe of Newton, NC and Beverly McRee of Davidson, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (112 S Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27601).
