She was predeceased by: her parents, James Denwood Ringgold and Helen Crews Bobbitt Ringgold; her grandparents, Wallace, Louise Ringgold Corkran of Towson, MD, Garland E. and Naomi Crews Bobbitt of Raleigh; her stepmother Bettie "Betsy" Bridges Andersen Ringgold; and her siblings, Denwood Ringgold and Deborah Crider (Jeff) of Clayton, NC..

She is survived by: her husband John Ervin Francis of Raleigh; her children, Matthew Ringgold Francis (Jennifer) of Raleigh and Elizabeth Francis Dickens (Steve) of Matthews, NC; her grandchildren, Aaron, Susannah, Jack Francis of Raleigh, Lilly, Quinn, Isaac and Zeke Dickens of Matthews; and her siblings, Vickie Garner (Don) of Talbott, TN and Marty Ringgold (Le) of Clayton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated to missions at Southbridge Fellowship Church.
