In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Doris Allen leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Doris Allen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashley Allen and Viola Hurley Allen of Smithfield, NC.. She is survived by: her husband Harry Bonner Litchfield of Aurora; her children, Harry B. Litchfield, Jr. (Meg) of Concord and Laura Van Meter (Allan Van Meter) of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ashley Van Meter of Thomasville; and her siblings, Julia A. McCullers of Raleigh and John Ashley Allen of Brevard.
