It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Leigh Cannon of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Doris shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Doris farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her daughter Angela Sanders (Cleveland); her siblings, Edith Faye Lane, Michael Cannon and Donald Cannon; and her close friend Connie Baker (Abdul). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
