He is survived by: his son Dr. Randall M. Best (Christy Clayton); his grandchildren, Ashley Best Evans (Courtney) and Richard Mark Best; his great grandchildren, Cole and Connor Evans; his siblings, Jerry G. Best (Joan) and Irma Best Wiggins; and his daughter-in-law Suzanne Best. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
