With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin James Harvie Jr. in Raleigh, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2026 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin James Harvie and Mary Henderson Roane Harvie; and his brother Lewis Edwin Harvie. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Harvie Schrum (Owen) of Raleigh and Edwin James Harvie III (Tamara) of Mason Neck, VA.; and his grandchildren, Anne Katherine Falterman (Seraphim), Meredith Schrum Trueblood (Wesley), Eric Lewis Schrum (Kristin), Carah Elizabeth Harvie and Lewis Edwin Harvie. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
