She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Scott Thomas and Kate Milwee Roper Thomas; her husband Uriah A. McManus, Jr.; and her siblings, Fred Scott Thomas, Jr., Katherine Thomas Morrison and Dorothy Thomas Way.
She is survived by: her children, Linda M. Stevens (Mike), Sherry M. Cochran (Ben) of Raleigh, NC, James A. McManus (Emma) of Garner, NC, Caroline M. Jones (Archie) of Erwin, NC, Margaret M. Herod of Winter Park, FL and Amy M. Stackhouse (Tom) of Rockford, AL. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
