It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Thompson Pope of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dinks Thompson and Mary Faulkner; her former husband Robert Edwin Cash; her husband Willie E. "W. E." Pope; her son Billy Gene Cash; her grandsons, Charles Edwin Cash and Patrick Gene Cash; and her siblings, Beatrice "Sissy" Clements, Joseph Thompson of Pryor Thompson, C. W, Wayne Thompson and Troy Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Cash Carden (Buddy) and Judy Cash Porterfield (J. C.); her grandsons, Brandon Wilson (Kandi), Jacob Porterfield (Misty) and Jay Porterfield (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Shane Wilson, Tristan Porterfield, Aiden Wilson, Dillon Wilson, Cody Cash, Coleton Cash, Lilli Porterfield and Cash Porterfield; and her siblings, Mary T. Hockaday and Roy Patterson.
Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, the family requests that all in attendance wear a mask.
