He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Keener and Dana N. Keener. He is survived by: his father-in-law E. D. Swain; his siblings, John, Harold, Carolyn Fisher, Dana Waldrop, Hazel Hays, Pauline Kirkland and Viola Poteet (Jack Russell Terrier); his wife Judith Swain Keener; and his children, Ashleigh Keener (Rich Martinez) and Justin Keener. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
