She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kurpil and Mary Kurpil (Warcholiak); and her siblings, Katherine Somesla, Annie Vuono, Rose Brown, Helen Mudry, Charlie, Nick, Andrew, Steve, Peter and Sam Kurpil.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Rumford (Doug) of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughters, Sara and Sophia; her children, Harold Sasnowitz (Sandra) of Raleigh, NC, Brittany, Jessica, Evan, Claret, Christopher Hanna and Mary Jane Bouchard of Ohio; her grandsons, Stephen Sasnowitz and Robert Bouchard; and her sister Josie DeVoe of Livingston Manor, NY. She is also survived by Grandma E, and she had 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Adjacent Raleigh Memorial Park (7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612).
