He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Brooks and Mabel Brooks; his wife Margaret Anne Guy; his children, Gray Brooks (Cara), Kristin Vines (David) and Sarah Hagwood (John); and his grandchildren, Allison, Addison, Kent, Ava, Pete and Cole.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Fred's name to either The Dementia Society of America or the ASPCA.
