He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bowes (Smith) of Raleigh; his son Russell; his daughter-in-law Carly of Wake Forest, NC; his grandchildren, Campbell Bowes of Walla Walla, WA, Calen Bowes of Wake Forest and Harper Bowes of Wake Forest; his brother Donald; and his sister-in-law Amy Bowes of Roxboro, NC..
