He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Grissom and Margie Chamblee; his wife Liffie Belle Chamblee; his son Charles Wayne Chamblee; and his siblings, Julius Chamblee, Alex Donald Chamblee, Evelyn Price, Ida Sue Gerould, Karina Mae Chamblee and Iris C. Hill.
He is survived by: his sisters, Judy Medlin and Eleanor Arnold; his grandchildren, Charles Wayne Chamblee II, Christy Chamblee Yarborough and Tiffany Laureano; and his great grandchildren, Lakisa, Brooke Elizabeth, Rebecca Chamblee, Camden, Bella and Daniel. He is also survived by several great- great -grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Christian Church (2779 NC-98, Louisburg, NC 27549). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Hope Christian Church Cemetery (2779 NC-98, Louisburg, NC 27549).
