Herbert Cotton Obituary

He is survived by: his children, Tammyé Cotton, Terri Cotton Jeffery of Garner and Herbert Anthony (Kim) of Raleigh; his grandsons, Dominique, Damian, Dion Cotton, Tre'Vohn and Tey'lan Jeffery; his great grandchildren, Saffire of Raleigh, Empress Cotton of Raleigh, Legend Cotton of Raleigh and Zyell Cotton of Raleigh; and his siblings, David Cotton of Raleigh, Mack Cotton (Holly) of Louisburg, Stephen Cotton (Barbara) of Louisiana, Ernest Cotton of Raleigh and Roberta Evans (Larry) of Raleigh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steven L Lyons Funeral Home (1515 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lincolnville AME Church (6400 Chapel Hill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601).
