He is survived by: his wife Edith Strother Gill; his children, David Gill of Raleigh, Sandra Hughes Johnson, Thomas Gill, II of Georgia, Pamela Gill Pitre (Paul) of Raleigh and Rudy Gill of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his brother Frank Gill (Leonie) of Sugar Grove; and his aunt Judy Hicks Williams of Bullock. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
