He is survived by: his sons, Howard Richards, Jr. of Raleigh and Michael Richards (Quintina) of Raleigh; his brothers, Sherman Richards (Willa Jean) of Oxford and Louis Richards of Durham; his grandchildren, Brea Alford and DeAsia Richards; his great grandchildren, Logan Alford, Xyla Davis and Ariyah Moore; and his cousins, James Chavis and Octavia Chavis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
