He was predeceased by: his parents, George Harris and Dessie Harris; his daughter Melissa Ann Harris; and his siblings, Glennis Earl Harris, Stanley Burson Harris, Lela Ethel Harris, George Washington Harris Jr., Lytton David Harris, Effie Geneva Harris, Elva Mae Harris, Howard Steely Harris, Dewey Edgar Harris and Belva Leona Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Linda King Harris; his son James Todd Harris (Indy); his foster daughter Priscilla Diana Dadisman; his grandchildren, Luke Andrew Kennedy (Kayla), Allena Marie Harris and Macy Lou Harris; and his great grandchild Josephine Elizabeth Kennedy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the North Raleigh Church of Christ (8701 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601).
