He was predeceased by: his parents, Flossie Berry Cooper and William Walter Cooper; and his brother-in-law D. Lee Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Martie Cooper; his sons, William Lee Cooper (Julie) of Wendell and Don Wayne Cooper (April) of Wendell; his sister Sandy Stephenson of Asheville; his sister-in-law Paula Roberts of Raleigh; and his nephew Art Giles of Broken Arrow, OK..
