She was predeceased by: her husband Leland M. Cottle; her mother Maude Frick Lindsay; her sister Hazel Jackson; and her brother-in-law Sonny Jackson. She is survived by: her children, Tony Cottle (Sue), Laura C. Shaw (Carson) and Robert Leland Cottle (Allison Keay); her grandchildren, Jessica Edwards, Robert Cottle (Maria) and Cody Jarman (Morgan); her great grandchildren, Gracie, Giovanni, Little Jackie, Liam, Little Leland, Caden, Wyatt, Levi, Paislee Grey and Scarlett; her great great grandchild Cyrus Lee; and her nieces and nephews, Jimi-Ann, Tammy, Austin and Michael.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (4815 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
