He was predeceased by: his parents, Ebon Bernard and Elizabeth Parrish Gower; his siblings, Milton, Yancey, Ebon Jr., Melvin, N. D. Gower, Irene and Elizabeth Gower; and his grandson T. J. Atwater.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Gower; his children, Brenda Gower, Alton Gower (Lynn), Kim Atwater (Tim), Karen Boyette (Joey) and Lisa Gower; his grandchildren, Joey Boyette, Kelly Gholson (Chris), Amie Ivy (Jimmy), Crystal Pozzie (Dave), April Faircloth, Brittany Moore (Jeff), David Faircloth (Victoria), Allison Pegram (Adam), Kaitlyn Bowden (Drew), Bobby Pombrio (Beth) and Christina Pollard (Casey); and his great grandchildren, AJ, Damin Boyette, Mariyah Booth, Hannah, Aiden, Maddie, Henry Ivy, Isaiah, Jacob Batchelor, William, LeAnna Bordeaux, Mia, Tyler, Aubrey Moore, Ryan Faircloth, Alayna, Alexis Pegram, Harper, Lennon Bowden and Maxwell Pombrio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Flowers will be accepted and we will also be accepting donations in lieu of flowers to the Hospice foundation.
