With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Earl Stewart (Raleigh, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jule Striplyn and Vernon Lee Stewart; and his wife Phyllis Walker. He is survived by: his sons, Philip Stewart of Burlington, NC and Jay Stewart of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Ainsley and Addison Stewart; and his siblings, Kay Richardson of Memphis, TN and Roger Stewart of Texas.
