He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Law Hines; his children, Alvin J and Cheryl L. Hines of New York; his brother Dr. Wiley E. Hines, Sr. (Gloria) of Winterville, NC; his nephews, Wiley E. Hines, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Dr. Derrick S. Hines of Phoenix, AZ; his niece Wandria E. Hines of Atlanta, GA; his foster sister Kathyrn Ann Hines of Norfolk, VA; his sister-in-law Lillie Motley of Pittsburgh, PA; his uncle Ed Langley of Greenville, NC; and his great-uncle Johnny Langley of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
